It is important to play game in LIFE!

What is the most fun thing to do in life? Isn’t it when we play a game that we love most. We could spent hour and hour playing game. Someone ever told me once that games are great but when we are lying on our bed when our life in stake; are we really going to wish we spent more time playing with our game?

This idea is very pervasive — that gamers are a waste of time.

There was a research done by a hospice worker about top 5 regrets of dying:

  1. I wish I had let myself be happier
  2. I wish I hadn’t worked so hard
  3. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends
  4. I wish I had a courage to express my true self
  5. I wish I’d lived a life true to my own dream, not the life others expected of me

(Top 5 regrets of dying was taken from the guardian.com)

Those are five deep human cravings actually can be fulfilled through playing games.

For example “I wish I hadn’t worked so hard”. In layman term, it means that I wish I could spend more time with my family, with my children which I have lost it due to work commitment. Through playing games together have a tremendous benefit. One of university in Utah (Brigham Young University), had done a research reported that parents who spend more time playing video games with their kids have much stronger real-life relationships.

This is not just within family, but also in society. For example the game title “FarmVille”.

University of Michigan had a recent study about this, reported that the game like “Farm Ville” is powerful relationship-management tools. It help us stay connected with people in our social network daily.

Another example “I wish I’d lived a life true to my own dream, not the life others expected of me”. In certain type of game, we have to choose our own “Avatar” before we could start play. Through selecting our own avatar is a way to express our true selves, choose our own heroic version of who we might become. Stanford University has done a research for 5 years, to document how we changes, how we think and act in real life through playing game with an ideal avatar which making us more courageous, ambitious and committed to our goals.

In game, we tackle though challenges with creativity, determination and optimism to win. Furthermore we sometimes reach out to others seek for help. At times we create ally and work together and battled against the bad guys. Like one of the games which shaked the world of gamer called “WORLD OF WARCRAFT”. Playing this game is not just recruit your ally but you should activate the power-ups. Many people find ways to accelerate the progress using Great WARCRAFT Guides.

We learn that through playing game will create an experience and playing game could be used as our springboard to unleash our best qualities and lead happier lives.
